Welcome to Fresh Arts

Fresh Arts is an expert provider of arts education for children of all ages. We are committed to widening participation in the arts and believe that every child should have the opportunity to participate in high quality arts education with gifted, passionate and highly trained professionals.

How we are keeping your child safe during the COVID-19 Pandemic

Please do not send your child to Fresh Arts Theatre School if they are feeling unwell, a family member or someone in your household are displaying COVID-19 symptoms or has been contacted by Track and Trace.

  • To minimise risk, students will stay in their allocated class ‘bubbles’ during their time at Fresh Arts Theatre School.
  • All parents/carers are kindly asked to maintain social distancing when arriving at our venue. Please observe guidance such as floor markers, etc.
  • No parents/carers are permitted to enter the building (unless in an emergency).
  • All parents/carers are required to either drop their children off at the door to their classroom or arrive at the main reception for a staggered start.
  • Registration will be taken in each group’s classroom, where students will remain throughout their Fresh Arts Theatre School session.

In Class

  • We will be observing class sizes in line with social distancing.
  • Frequent hand washing or hand sanitisation will be undertaken by all upon entry, between disciplines, before and after break and toilet visits, and upon exit.
  • Hand sanitisers will be in each classroom and the main entrance (where applicable).
  • Signage regarding hand washing / sanitising will be displayed around the venue.
  • Please ensure your child only brings essential possessions to Fresh Arts Theatre School (such as water, lunch or a snack for break and any medical needs, i.e. EpiPen), and to keep those possessions close to them wherever practicable. Where possible, please DO NOT bring mobile phones to Fresh Arts Theatre School.
  • Non-essential items (such as props and costumes) will not be used for the time being.
  • Students will be encouraged to cough or sneeze using the inside of their elbow to ‘catch it’ or a tissue which should be put into a bin bag (one per room) which the Principal will seal and dispose of after each session.

Social Distancing

  • We will be observing the latest social distancing guidance from the UK Government for all of our students where appropriate.
  • Rooms will be of the required size and markings made to assist students in recognising the social distancing needed.
  • For Early Years students we will endeavour to deliver classes which encourage them to keep their distance where reasonably practicable.
  • Our toilet policy has been modified to incorporate social distancing.

  • Students are to be collected from the same door they entered the building. Please note that we may need to stagger departure times to ensure social distancing is maintained.

Venue availability

  • If for any reason, we are unable to deliver our classes in the Fresh Arts venue, we will be offering replacement classes delivered via an online platform such as Zoom where available.

There may be additional safety measures in place at your Fresh Arts venue, which your Principal will make you aware of.

Please note, as government guidance and policy change we will be updating safety measures accordingly.

Fresh Arts Online Classes

Fresh Arts online courses are small group, interactive performing arts sessions using the platform Zoom. We run live classes rather than videos so that the children have the opportunity to interact with their teacher, receive feedback and grow.

All sessions are run by teachers who are fully DBS checked, trained and have worked with Fresh Arts for a minimum of two years. You can choose between afterschool sessions in drama, dance and singing or weekend 10 week courses which culminate in a video presentation or LAMDA exam. We also run private online LAMDA lessons for individual children or small groups and birthday parties

Fresh Arts Education

Fresh Arts Education is an expert PPA cover provider for primary schools. We work in mainstream schools, SEN schools and nurseries to provide lessons in dance, drama, music and art lead by highly trained artists. We also provide afterschool and lunchtime clubs in all arts subjects.

Fresh Arts Tiny Frogs

Fresh Arts Tiny Frogs is the name of our specialist classes for the Early Years and Foundation Stage. Our Tiny Frogs programme is split into two strands Dancing Frogs and Drama Frogs. Children sing, dance and act with our fun mascot Freddie the Frog and you can choose a Speech and Drama focus or a Dance and Movement focus.

Fresh Arts is one of the UKs premiere LAMDA specialists, we run LAMDA sessions in schools and privately and enter thousands of children for LAMDA examinations every year. We teach all syllabi and specialise in The Speaking of Verse and Prose, Speaking in Public and Acting. Please contact us if you would like LAMDA sessions for your school or to book a private or group home session for your child.

Currently all private and group LAMDA lessons are online.

Fresh Arts runs projects in partnership with councils, schools and other organisations to make the arts more accessible to children and families that are hard to reach or vulnerable. We founded the Grenfell Arts Project working with children and families who were affected by the Grenfell Tower Fire, we also run EAL drama projects for parents, SEN theatre projects and were contracted by Camden Council to deliver theatre sessions with at risk teenagers.
