DRAMA PROJECT
We work with highly trained professional artists and educators to deliver our bespoke syllabus in Speech and Drama, Dance and Movement, Singing and Music and Art and Design. Our programmes of work for PPA cover, school clubs and our weekend Theatre Schools are expertly created and popular with schools, parents and most importantly children. We have a three-strand approach to our work. The first is our work in schools and nurseries. We provide PPA cover in music, drama, dance and art and children can participate as part of the school day, which imbeds the arts into their education and strengthens their engagement with their topics through an integrated approach to learning.
We also provide after school clubs in all arts subjects. We also have our unique early years programme for nurseries called Fresh Arts Tiny Frogs which are drama and dance sessions designed to help the very youngest children grow in confidence and creativity. The second way that children can participate is to join one of our weekend theatre schools or annual holiday camps. Each week at Fresh Arts Theatre School children do speech and drama, dance and movement and singing and music and work towards an end of term show. Children also take annual LAMDA and LCM exams and do their Arts Awards and can join our professional acting agency. Our children have performed for national commercials, TV, theatre and feature films.

the team
In the Summer Term we prepare children for annual London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (LAMDA) examinations. This preparation is a fantastic way to increase the confidence, speaking skills, expression, and performance skills of children from age four upwards. At Fresh Arts Theatre School we prepare all children for the Speaking of Verse and Prose Syllabus, Acting and Public Speaking. This exposes children to literature and poetry and is a great way to deepen their engagement with text in a fun way.
Key features of the preparation are encouraging students to speak audibly, to speak with expression and in an interesting way, and to share the text that they have learnt in an engaging way with an audience. Students also answer questions in the form of a discussion.
online schools
If you would like your school to participate in this programme remotely from January 2023, please let us know. Classes will participate in 20 weekly creative sessions designed to help children boost wellbeing and solve problems. There are videos and lesson plans to walk you through all of the activities.

understanding the world
Participation in Drama Frogs helps children to make sense of their physical world and their community through opportunities to explore, observe and find out about people, places, and the environment through dramatic play and exploration of different stories and themes. Dancing Frogs is linked into different themes and children have the chance to learn dances from different cultures and learn about different styles of dance.
