These are our early years sessions for children aged three and four who have not yet started Reception. On Saturdays these sessions run for 90 minutes and we do 30 minutes of Dance and Movement, 30 minutes of Singing and Music and 30 minutes of speech and drama each week. We learn and play with our friendly mascot Freddie the Frog. We have original songs and a progressive curriculum which helps children to develop in line with The Early Years and Foundation Stage’ curriculum and child development research.
Fresh Arts Tiny Frogs
Our Infants classes are for children between reception and year 2. These classes are especially designed for this age group to build confidence, self esteem and performance skills. The children have lots of fun exploring performing arts and making new friends. All infants children do sessions of Speech and Drama, Dance and Movement and Singing and Music and are encouraged to express themselves in each lesson. During the classes children learn poems, scripts and songs, do role play and learn dance routines and warm ups. Children in the infants classes are prepared for annual LAMDA and LCM examinations.
Our Juniors classes are for children between years 3 and 7. These classes are especially designed for this age group to build confidence and self esteem and performance skills. In the juniors class students begin to develop their performance skills further in weekly sessions of Speech and Drama, Dance and Movement and Singing and Music with professional performers who have trained at specialist drama or music conservatoires. Each term students perform for their parents and also are prepared for annual LAMDA and LCM examinations.
Our seniors classes are for students aged 12+. These are fun, professionally based sessions to refine children’s skills and to develop them into well rounded individuals. Each week our seniors class does Speech and Drama covering script work, devising and improvisation; Singing and Music which has singing warmups, breathing, vocal exercises and learning repertoire from different time periods and Dance and Movement which has dance warm ups, musical theatre and street dance routines, toning and drills. We believe that the skills learnt at this age set children up in good stead for all future life choices and not just careers in the arts. Seniors students are also entered for LCM and LAMDA examinations annually.
