The majority of our projects are bespoke and we can meet any organisations needs who have an aim of widening access to the arts for young or vulnerable people. We also work with adults who may benefit from participation in the arts.

To get an idea of the kind of services that we offer please see below two case studies of two of our very different recent projects.

EAL Drama for Parents

We worked with a Brent Primary School to deliver a 12 week project for parents with English as an additional language. This project was pitched towards early years parents and an additional aim was to encourage parents to feel more engaged with their children’s school at a critical early stage. Parents participated in Drama and Movement sessions each week culminating in the showing of a traditional fairy tale for their children. Parents reported feeling more confident with their spoken English at the end of the drama project and had huge gains from their baseline English assessments. As well as improvement in spoken English, parents reported increased feelings of wellbeing, stress reduction, less isolation and feeling more comfortable in the school environment. They also said that their children had expressed feelings of pride towards them and said that they were happier at home as a result.

The Grenfell Arts Project

Following the devastating tragedy at Grenfell Tower we immediately responded by creating the Grenfell Arts Project which works with 40 primary school children who have been affected through displacement and bereavement by the Grenfell Tower fire. We worked in partnership with Colville Primary School and major arts organisations like the Old Vic Theatre and The Globe Theatre to provide a place of respite and provide access to the arts to help these young children with their recovery. Each week we do art, drama and music and children work with professional artists and facilitators. Children also go to the theatre and have also participated in a LAMDA exam. We are delighted that following our evaluation, children who have participated in the Grenfell Arts Project report feeling happier and more confident.
