After School Clubs

Fresh Arts Education provides after school clubs for primary and secondary schools. The clubs that we provide are in Speech and Drama, LAMDA club, Ballet, Street Dance Public, Speaking, Musical Theatre and Choir. All of our clubs can be done for either reception and KS1, KS2 or KS3 and can be administrated by the school or by Fresh Arts Education.

All of our teachers are specialists in their subject, have an enhanced DBS, are trained through the Fresh Arts Education Training Programme and insured. If you would like an arts-based club which is not listed here please contact us on 0203 904 1113.

Speech & Drama

Fresh Arts Speech and Drama Clubs combine script work, creativity and drama games to help children develop strong performance and communication skills. Each term students rehearse and memorise scenes and/or poems, with emphasis on projection and characterisation. Students also learn how to warm up effectively and use their creativity in fun improvisation activities.

Fresh Arts Theatre School provides drama clubs for infants (Reception to Year 2) Juniors (Year’s 3 to 6) and Seniors (Year’s 7 to 9), with a performance showcase opportunity at the end of each term.

Fresh Arts provides high quality LAMDA specific drama clubs with the aim of preparing students with the knowledge required to achieve strong results in LAMDA Speaking Verse and Prose as well as LAMDA Public Speaking examinations.

Our staff work closely with students in group settings, to teach the LAMDA syllabus as well as theory components in a fun and engaging way. Our students have received excellent results over numerous years, and many students work their way up to the LAMDA Bronze Medal examinations and beyond.

LAMDA clubs are an excellent way for students to develop public speaking and performance skills, and to grow in confidence as they speak in front of peers as well as in an examination format.

Fresh Arts provides infant ballet with our classically trained ballet teachers. Doing ballet club is a fantastic introduction to ballet and helps children to improve their co-ordination, timing and dance technique. During ballet clubs we also do fun games and dance activities to help children to move to the music.

Dance & Movement

The dance and movement club is for Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2. Dance and Movement club is a fantastic way for children at your school to keep fit and develop their coordination and concentration and learn fun street dance routines each term. All routines are original choreography.

Public Speaking

We use the LAMDA speaking in Public syllabus and children are able to sit graded accredited examinations. This club is for years 4, 5 and 6. Children will learn how to capture an audience’s attention, speak in an appropriate register and construct an argument.

This club is a great way to improve the Spoken Language of children at your school and is a fantastic club to select pupils for who are Most Able in English or need an extra boost.

Musical Theatre

Musical Theatre club is a fun and engaging way for students to combine singing, acting and movement in a musical theatre style. Fresh Arts Musical Theatre clubs provide students with an opportunity to develop as performers, focusing on skills such as projection, vocal technique, combining singing and movement, dramatic techniques, and an understanding of musical plots and styles.

Each term students prepare multiple songs with movement and scenes, with an opportunity to perform at the end of each term. We provide programmes to suit three age ranges: Infants (Reception to Year 2) Juniors (Year’s 3 to 6) and Seniors (Year’s 7 to 9).

Fresh Arts Choir is a great way for children to develop their singing and performance skills, and to learn to be part of an ensemble. Throughout the term, the choir students learn new warm up activities and techniques, as well as rehearsing multiple songs a term to a high performance standard. Students learn how to sing as one unison voice and blend together, as well as how to harmonise in two and three part harmony.

We currently offer choirs for KS1 and KS2 and this is a great way for students of different years to interact and learn together.

Fresh Arts Art Club is for Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2. During this club children work with professional artists to explore topics using different mediums such as ceramics, paint, collage and chalks. In art club children will use a range of materials creatively to design and make products. They will also use drawing, painting and sculpture to develop and share their ideas, experiences and imagination.

In art club children will develop a wide range of art and design techniques in using colour, pattern, texture, line, shape, form and space.
